Education

I am a 3rd year undergrad at UCLA with a double major in physics and chemistry with a physical chemistry concentration, a minor in mathematics, and a 3.9 GPA. In college, I have taken multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, lower and upper division mechanics, lower and upper division electricity and magnetism, lower and upper division quantum mechanics, and mathematical methods of physics. The relevant AP tests I have taken are all 4 AP Physics tests, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus BC.

Experience

I am a National AP Scholar because I earned 15 5's on AP tests, and I am a Regents Scholar at UCLA, which is an honor awarded to the top 0.1% of the 135,000 annual applicants. I have a passion for learning and tutoring math and physical sciences, and I wish to instill this passion in my students as well. My tutoring style emphasizes building a personal connection with my students, so I can learn the unique ways in which they learn. This allows me to cater my approach to conveying information that the student will understand and master most efficiently. I will go above and beyond to ensure my students feel as comfortable as possible and get enough exposure and practice to build confidence in their own abilities. My lessons are very flexible, though I generally provide an even balance of instruction and practice problems. I have worked with students at the university level, high school level, and junior high level, and I have a solid understanding of what professors, teachers, and college admissions seek in their students. I want my students to develop their own critical thinking tools, so they can build their grades, test scores, self-confidence, and ultimately the life they choose. I love listening to music and playing guitar, both acoustic and electric. I enjoy hiking, especially in Santa Monica. My favorite movie series is Star Wars. My dream job is professor because I love spreading knowledge and passion for physical science and math.
